John 4:23-24 (NIV)
“Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit and His worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth.”
Mission Statement
Spirit & Truth Christian Church is a nondenominational, Spirit-filled, contemporary church that ministers to the total needs of the family through relevant teaching, preaching and other creative forms of ministry. Our church’s passion is to be lovingly obedient to the will of God through our worship, our walk, our warmth, our work and our witness.
History of SATCC
After faithfully serving as a youth minister, young adult minister and senior pastor in a denominational church, in November 2008, Pastor Tiate Pastor Arlise Carson in obedience to God left an established denominational church in order to plant Spirit and Truth Christian Church (SATCC) in Round Rock, TX. They knew it was time to wholeheartedly respond to the call of God on their lives by reaching out to the unsaved and spiritually disillusioned with a radically relevant message of salvation, deliverance, integrity, empowerment, and faithfulness. They did just that at SATCC by providing a warm, loving Spirit-filled atmosphere that ministers the purpose of God through the fellowship of God’s people, heartfelt contemporary praise and worship, a commitment of making disciples of Christ, Kingdom centered teaching and preaching, the exercise of spiritual gifts, and a radical passion to reach the lost.
What We Believe
1.
The Old and New Testaments are the inspired and authoritative WORD OF GOD. In the Bible we find the revelation of God’s will for the salvation of humanity and the divine final authority for Christian faith and life.
2.
There is one GOD, the Creator of all things who is infinitely perfect and eternally existent in three persons—God the FATHER, God the SON, and God the HOLY SPIRIT.
3.
Jesus Christ is true God and true man. He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life and died on the cross as the complete and final sacrifice for the sins of all humanity. He bodily arose from the dead, ascended to heaven, and is now at the right hand of the Father as our High Priest and Advocate.
4.
Humanity was created in the image of God but sinned and is therefore lost. Only through regeneration by the Holy Spirit can salvation and spiritual life be obtained. The shed blood of Jesus Christ and His resurrection provide the only grounds for justification and salvation.
5.
Water Baptism and the Lord’s Supper are ordinances (sacraments) to be observed by the church during the present age. However, they are not to be regarded as a means of salvation. Water baptism by immersion soon after accepting Christ as personal Savior, is a testimony of death to sin and resurrection to a new life. The Lord’s Supper is a memorial service setting forth in sacred and symbolic manner the death of the Lord Jesus Christ; all true believers and only believers should share in it.
6.
The present and supernatural ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ. During this age, He indwells, guides, instructs, and empowers the believer for Godly living and service. It is the will of God that every believer be filled with the Holy Spirit with the evidence of spiritual gifts and with the character of the Spirit as the ongoing life-evidence.
7.
Every born-again, Spirit-filled believer should maintain a consistent personal devotional life, by fervently praying, living by faith, daily biblical study and application of the Word of God. This is evident by holiness of lifestyle, Godliness of character, and a love for humanity
8.
The true Church is composed of those who are born again. Through this new birth, we are united together in the Body of Christ. Jesus Christ is the Lord and Head of the Church.
9.
The imminent second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ for his church has a vital bearing on the personal life, stewardship, and service of the believer.
10.
There will be a bodily resurrection of the dead, of the non-believer to judgment and everlasting punishment, and of the believer, to everlasting joy with the Lord.
