Pastor Tiate Carson

Pastor Tiate Carson was born and raised in Detroit, MI and is the only son of Elder Eugene and Pastor Janice Carson of Greater Works Christian Ministries in Detroit. He has one sister, Dr. Sharice Carson, PT, DPT who resides in Detroit, MI. Pastor Carson is happily married to Pastor Arlise S. Carson, a native of Portsmouth, VA, who serves with him in ministry. The Carsons have two daughters named Bria and Imani.
Pastor Carson graduated from North Carolina A&T State University in 1997 with a B.S. degree in Accounting. In December of 2001, he received his Master of Divinity degree with a concentration in Greek New Testament Biblical Studies from the Interdenominational Theological Center (ITC) in Atlanta, GA. Pastor Carson began serving in ministry in 1997. He was blessed to serve as the Minister to Young Adults (ages 18-35) at the then 18,000+ member Greater Allen Cathedral of N.Y. under the leadership of former Congressman and Senior Pastor Rev. Dr. Floyd H. Flake and Co-Pastor Rev. Dr. Elaine M. Flake from 2001-2004. In 2004. Pastor Carson and his family relocated to San Antonio, TX where he served as senior pastor of Bethel AME Church and was later appointed to Grant AME Worship Center in Austin, TX where he served as the senior pastor until Nov. of 2008.After faithfully serving as a youth minister, young adult minister and senior pastor in denominational churches, in November 2008, Pastors Tiate and Arlise Carson in obedience to God left an established denominational church in order to plant Spirit and Truth Christian Church (SATCC). They knew it was time to wholeheartedly respond to the call of God on their lives by reaching out to the unsaved and spiritually disillusioned with a radically relevant message of salvation, deliverance, integrity, empowerment, and faithfulness. They did just that at SATCC by providing a warm, loving, Spirit-filled atmosphere that ministers the purpose of God through the fellowship of God’s people, heartfelt contemporary praise and worship, a commitment of making disciples of Christ, Kingdom centered teaching and preaching, the exercise of spiritual gifts, and a radical passion to reach the lost. More important than any of the above, Pastor Carson is "a man that seeks after the very heart of God, lives a life of integrity, serves with the passion and compassion of Christ, and is driven by the power of the Holy Spirit."

Pastor Arlise Carson was born and raised in the city of Portsmouth, Virginia. She is the daughter of Gabrielle McSwain-Bazemore and Robert McSwain, and the second born of four siblings, Arnette, Robert and Jasmine McSwain. Pastor Arlise graduated from Norfolk State University, Norfolk, Va. in 1998 with a B.A. in Political Science Pre-Law. In December of 2002, she received her Master of Professional Studies in Urban Ministry from Nyack College Alliance Theological Seminary in New York. In June of 2005, she received her Master of Science in Education/Special Education Childhood from Touro College Graduate School of Education and Psychology in New York. In October of 2008, she fulfilled all requirements for her Master of Divinity degree with a concentration in Urban Ministry from Nyack College Alliance Theological Seminary in New York. Pastor Arlise currently holds certifications in the areas of pedagogy and educational administration. She presently works as an assistant principal in the Leander Independent School District and operates her own graphic art and design business, AC Creations. In 2004, Pastor Arlise relocated to San Antonio, TX with her husband after his appointment as senior pastor of Bethel AME Church. In 2006, the Carsons relocated to Austin, TX where her husband was appointed as senior pastor of Grant AME Worship Center in Austin, TX. While serving int he AME Church, Pastor Arlise was ordained an itinerant deacon, then elder. After having served as the minister to women at various churches under the leadership of her husband, in December 2008, under the leading of the Holy Spirit, she and her husband planted Spirit and Truth Christian Church in Round Rock, TX. Her purpose and calling is to rebuild the city, set the captives free and make His name great!Pastor Arlise is a woman that earnestly perseveres to walk in the excellence of God, so that she may glorify Him in all she does.
